National Coastwatch volunteer watchkeepers provide the eyes and ears along the coast of England and Wales, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. Currently we operate from 60 stations around the coastline. When people get into trouble, we are there to alert HM Coastguard and direct the appropriate rescue services to the casualty.

How you can Support Us

National Coatwatch (NCI) relies entirely on voluntary contributions. You can help us enormously by making a donation to the NCI Development Fund which enables us to open new stations, as well as providing financial assistance to existing stations in need of additional help.

Any donations, not matter how small, are essential for NCI to continue to provide such an important service.

JustGiving

You can support NCI through JustGiving by clicking here. Alternatively, if you’re running a fundraising event, you can create a JustGiving Campaign page and select National Coastwach Institution as your chosen charity.

If you’d prefer to support a specific NCI station through JustGiving, then you can find your chosen station by selecting it from the list of Stations in the Main Menu. On the home page of your chosen station just click on the yellow Donate button. We will do our best to ensure your preferred station benefits from your donation.

 NCI is always looking for volunteers to train as watchkeepers, not just for stations that are already up and running but also for the growing number of new stations that are in the process of being opened up around the UK coastline. Click here for further information.
