How to Find Us

From Penzance: Take the A30 towards Lands End and turn right at the roundabout signposted St Just A3071. Upon entering St Just, go through Market Square to Bank Square and then turn left just after the Town Clock down Cape Cornwall Road. Keep on this road all the way down to the coast and you will be able to park at the National Trust Car Park on the left. Walk on down past the big gates with the sign ‘Please keep closed’ and continue on past the two cottages towards the Cape itself. The path here is slightly rocky and uneven and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Continue around to the front of the Cape and you will see a series of steps up to the watch. We have a bench installed just outside the watch so you will be able to catch your breath before coming in to see us – you will be made most welcome.

About

Currently almost 60 National Coastwatch stations are operational and manned by over 2600 volunteer watchkeepers around the British Isles from Fleetwood in the North West, through Wales, to the South and East of England to Filey in North Yorkshire.

National Coastwatch watchkeepers provide the eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. They are trained to deal with emergencies offering a variety of skills and experience, and full training by the National Coastwatch ensures that high standards are met.
