NCI Shoreham concerned over Tombstoning

Watchkeepers at NCI Shoreham observed teenage boys jumping off the pier – this activity is commonly known as Tombstoning. The watchkeepers informed the youngsters of the dangers. The tide was ebbing and it was only 2m deep where they were jumping in. Unfortunately the boys would not listen to the advice being given, so NCI contacted the local Coastguard to raise their concerns. Once the boys had been notified that HMCG had been contacted, they then packed up and started to move away from the edge.
