A loan swimmer towing a float with no wetsuit, was observed heading west and struggling against an incoming tide. The Watchkeeper on duty at NCI Nells Point Station observed that the casualty was taking several stops and making very slow progress past the station. They contacted the Coastguard who asked the watch to monitor the casualty’s progress. They then alerted the Lifeguards who immediately attended the casualty with a jetski and escorted them to the safety of the beach.
