Falmouth Coastguard called National Coastwatch about a member of the public who had reported a yellow and white sail blowing across St Ives Bay near the eastern shore. Our Watchkeeper confirmed its position. An in-shore Lifeboat tasked another wind surfer to try and assist. The in-shore Lifeboat retrieved the sail but no persons were reported to be with the sail. The Lifeboat also tookthe windsurfer, who had tried to assist, back to shore.
