Four dedicated runners have completed the Great South Run in support of the National Coastwatch Institution, helping to raise vital funds to keep us being the eyes along the coast.
Jan, Alan, Judy and Eleanor took on the challenge last week, putting their determination and commitment to the test to raise money for the National Coastwatch (NCI).
The funds raised will help the NCI continue its important work around the UK coastline, where trained volunteers keep watch from lookout stations, helping to keep people safe by observing, identifying and reporting incidents to the appropriate emergency services.
There is still time to support the team and contribute to their fundraising efforts. Every donation, no matter how large or small, will help NCI continue its vital work.
Donations can be made through the team’s fundraising page:

Donations close by the end of November.
NCI would like to extend a huge thank you to Jan, Alan, Judy and Eleanor for their fantastic effort, as well as to everyone who has already donated or supported the runners along the way. Every contribution is greatly appreciated and helps make a difference to the charity and the communities it serves.

Gillian Woodcock, Head of Fundraising, said:
“A huge congratulations to Jan, Alan, Judy and Eleanor on completing the Great South Run. We are incredibly grateful to them for taking on this challenge in support of NCI and helping to raise awareness and vital funds for our work.
“We would also like to thank everyone who has donated and supported the team. Fundraising like this makes a real difference to our charity and helps us continue supporting our volunteer watchkeepers, who play such an important role in keeping our coastline safer.
“There is still time to donate, and we would encourage anyone who can to support this fantastic effort.”
