Emergency Services Day 2025, Fawley, Hampshire – Saturday 24th May.

NCI Calshot Tower QAVS and NCI Stone Point, National Coastwatch stations, had a stand at the above event, it was a great day and the weather held. We were busy with visitors (estimated at nearly 3000 overall at this years’ event), youngsters from Fawley Youth Life Group and helping participants with the NCI Lat/Long question in the Event Quiz. We distributed a lot of NCI information, NCI stickers and sweets.

Our station mascot, “Spot the Watchkeeper”, was very very active with “Spot’s” Chaperone being extremely busy keeping “Spot” under control as he loved being out and about and competing in the mascot challenges.

Stephen Hand, NCI Chair, who had travelled from Brighton to visit the event, was introduced to all the Watchkeepers and, of course, “Spot”!!

Our local MP, Southampton City Councillors (SCC) and Hampshire County Councillors plus other Local Councillors also visited our stand and had a chat.

The organiser’s message to the NCI was “It was worth all the hard work that goes into pulling it together. It’s lovely to see all the public supporting the event. Thank you again for attending. Please pass on sincere thanks to all your lovely team who attended, as without them the event would not have been possible.”
