Watchkeepers from NCI Gosport were invited to the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth’s Parlour and a group attended recently.

This follows the Lord Mayors involvement in the NCI 30th Anniversary Flag Relay, shortly after which he kindly paid a visit to our station.

After tea with the Lord Mayor, he gave us a tour of the Guildhall and showed us a display of the civic silverware, royal charters,  and twinning documents.  The Lord Mayor is so impressed by the work of NCI that he expressed a wish to join as a Watchkeeper when his term of office is over.

At the end of the visit, the Lord Mayor was presented with an NCI Gosport calendar for 2025.
