31 October 2023 – NCI Calshot Tower (QAVS) and Stone Point Stations have been invited to take part in the Southampton City Remembrance Service 2023.

Our Station Manager and Committee gratefully accepted the invitation from the Lord Mayor, as part of the Search and Rescue Services in the UK working with HMCG, the RNLI and other Emergency Services, providing “eyes and ears along the coasts”.
The watchkeepers at both stations are delighted to be involved in the Remembrance Day Service and Parade, and thrilled to be part of this special and important national day.
The Right Worshipful Lord Mayor, Councillor Valerie Laurent, who is also the Honorary Admiral of the Port of Southampton, met Station Manager Bryan Young and Watchkeeper Helena Carr at the Southampton Civic Offices. The visit was primarily to explain how the NCI operates, detailing the support and service they provide to those on the sea, and working with HMCG and other SAR organisations.
