11th January 2023. Today nine volunteer watchkeepers from the National Coastwatch Institution station at Mablethorpe, along with four crew members from R.N.L.I. Mablethorpe paid a visit to the Coastguard Rescue 912 Search and Rescue helicopter base at Humberside Airport. They were given  tour of the base before being shown around the helicopter by the pilot and crew. Everyone found the visit to be very interesting and most informative. A number of joint exercises are being arranged for later in the year.
