An off duty member of National Coastwatch called NCI Torbay to report seeing a drum containing a dangerous substance, had been found washed up on Beacon Cove beach. The label on the drum read ” Sulphuric Acid” UN 2976. Contact was made with the Solent Coastguard who recovered the cannister to a safe location for disposal.
