Current weather conditions and links to webcams

Teignmouth NCI station is located right in Teignmouth, on the SW Coast Path, at the NE end of the seafront and just across the pedestrain railway bridge from Eastcilff carpark. We are really easy to find and, except when incident working, we welcome visitors.

You will be able to see much more by visiting our site and viewing our live weatherstation.

As an aid to sea safety we have two webcams which show the state of sea and tide in Teignmouth.

We know from emails received that these are valued by water users and the local community who can easily check the state of the sea and the tide before coming down to the beach to swim, walk or participate in water sports.

About

Currently almost 60 National Coastwatch stations are operational and manned by over 2600 volunteer watchkeepers around the British Isles from Fleetwood in the North West, through Wales, to the South and East of England to Filey in North Yorkshire.

National Coastwatch watchkeepers provide the eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. They are trained to deal with emergencies offering a variety of skills and experience, and full training by the National Coastwatch ensures that high standards are met.
