Hengistbury Head

Welcome to our station at Hengistbury Head which is temporarily located at Southbourne Beach Office next to Bistro on the Beach.  The plan is to re-establish a manned lookout in the existing Coastguard Lookout building on top of Hengistbury Head. Its purpose will be to maintain a watch from Barton-on-Sea in the east, through Christchurch and Poole Bays, and 12 miles out to sea round to Bournemouth Pier in the west, bridging the gap between the existing NCI stations at the Needles and Swanage.
