Supporters

The following have supported the NCI Station Folkestone. To whom we are most grateful. As a registered charity the station has to raise all its own finances. We do not receive financial support from the public purse. Should you wish to help us financially, or by donating suitable equipment, please contact the Station Manager.

ON TIME double gazing company for supplying our windows and doors. Thank you

THE ROGER DEHAAN CHARITABLE TRUST for funding the purchase of the Hofman PA8W Radio Direction Finder. Thank you.

KENT COUNTY COUNCIL for supporting the cost of the new hallway refurbishment. Thank you.

ICOM UK RADIOS  for supporting us in the maintanance of our radio systems. Thank you.

In addition we have a small but hard working station support team. They support the station activities and funding collections.

About

Currently almost 60 National Coastwatch stations are operational and manned by over 2600 volunteer watchkeepers around the British Isles from Fleetwood in the North West, through Wales, to the South and East of England to Filey in North Yorkshire.

National Coastwatch watchkeepers provide the eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. They are trained to deal with emergencies offering a variety of skills and experience, and full training by the National Coastwatch ensures that high standards are met.
