Location of NCI Great Orme (closed to all visitors for now)

The Great Orme NCI station is situated in the Dale Road Car Park West Shore  Llandudno near the west shore beach cafe. Currently in line with government regulations relating to the Covid-19 Pandemic the Watch Station is CLOSED.to visitors, in an emergency call the COASTGUARD by dialing 999.

Important  Dale Road Car Park is pay & display 

The sand banks may look enticing but can be dangerous Tidal information is available on nearby signs or many apps on your smart phone look for Conwy not Llandudno as times are different, under no circumstances venture onto the sandbanks beyond 90 minutes after Low Water you could be cut off by the incoming tide.

Currently almost 60 National Coastwatch stations are operational and manned by over 2600 volunteer watchkeepers around the British Isles from Fleetwood in the North West, through Wales, to the South and East of England to Filey in North Yorkshire. 

National Coastwatch watchkeepers provide the eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. They are trained to deal with emergencies offering a variety of skills and experience, and full training by the National Coastwatch ensures that high standards are met.
