NCI Runton welcomes surfers, we hope this page offers useful information to our surfing community.
East Runton is a reasonably exposed beach break that picks up any swell and is usually the first port of call for the local surfers. It is regarded as a premier spot because the chalk reefs add definition to the sand bars. It picks up windswells locally and from distant groundswells - the best swell direction is from the North or Northeast. The beach surf offers both lefts and rights, but beware of rocks and riptides.
There is a public pay and display car park on the clifftop with toilet facilities. The NCI Runton lookout is also situated in the car park and offers a KEY SAFE SEA SAFE facility - See the KEY SAFE SEA SAFE page for details
