24th December 2021. Today the volunteer watchkeepers of the National Coastwatch Institution got a special mention on Classic FM radio.

John Humberstone from NCI Great Orme contacted the radio station with a request for them to dedicate a carol to all the Coastwatch watchkeepers, and as John said “It had to be a special request for I saw three ships”. The request was played on the Christmas Eve Requests with Anne-Marie Minhall show just before 15:00 hrs with the traditional carol performed by the Choir of York Minster.

John added “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year or Nadolig Llawen I Blwyddyn Newydd Dda as they say here in Wales”.
