Summary

By the end of 2012, NCI had 49 stations fully operational. 90% of them have achieved Declared Facility Status, duly agreed by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

Volunteers completed a total of over 218,000 hours watchkeeping during the year identifying and logging over 500,000 vessels.

238 watchkeepers have so far been awarded 10 years service medals.

Over 16% of watchkeepers are women.
